Inspired by the Calgary Stampede, bed builder Doug Robinson chiseled out an incredible new level of imagination when creating a chuck wagon bed for his Nephew. With lots of time and heart invested, this fable hobby became the allure of an elegant solution, which he found a few years later in Murphy style castle bed folding out from a drawbridge. Doug’s wife describes it as having a broad understanding of unrelated things, which he loves to use when working from challenging and difficult designs. “It has to be clever, something my mind would have to figure out,” he said. “Not just another car bed.” Actualizing the dreams of children is just the beginning. His pastime also incorporates talented people who come together with artistic and creative skills to assist in his dream of fundraising for Cystic fibrosis.
