One Tough Mudder takes it all the way to the World’s
In June 2012, Lindsay Van Gyn was pulled together by friends and family for an unforgettable Tough Mudderadventure in Whistler.
She heard of the insane muddy obstacle course designed by the British Special Forces at a friend’s house. As she listened, she felt like a key had unlocked a piece of her mind with thoughts connected to her life as personal trainer; she had to know more. The races are about overcoming personal obstacles in your life, something that resonated with her closely.
During her following race in Seattle, a water station volunteer commented, “Sucks to be second, huh?” and her competitive streak kicked in. She finished as the first female to cross the line and secured her a spot at the World’s Toughest Mudder 24 hour competition (November 17th, 2012) in New Jersey.
